About Zutano

In 1989, when Uli and Michael Belenky's daughter Sophie was born, they decided to start Zutano. The couple, consisting of a designer/art director and a professional photographer, saw a gap in the market for children's footwear and filled it by creating the first-ever stay-on baby booties. Zutano grew from humble beginnings in a brownstone apartment in New York City to a nationally recognized brand of handcrafted children's clothing. As a result of its success, Zutano is now one of the most well-known brands for infants, toddlers, and young children.
